Designer Drapes are sold by TRAX Ceiling
Shower Rod.com
only in our
local Sacramento, CA area. However, we do have a pattern to be used by those who
wish to make their own drape or contract with a local
seamstress or drapery maker. We have determined that it is better if the
customer has personal contact with the drape maker when selecting fabrics and accessories. We
do sell Decorative Outer Curtains, a decorative curtain that
hangs from the same hooks as the shower curtain liner (See
other page).

************************************************************
The Designer Drape gives your
bathroom the designer look in your chosen style and colors. It is
designed to be used with the
TRAX , ceiling shower curtain rod, and
the Shower Curtain Liners. The following options are
available:
Fabrics
and Trims: There is a wide variety of
fabric options and trim options available.
Following are example drapes
demonstrating some of the different features.
|
|
The custom designer drapes on the left and right show valance options. The
drape on the left has a standard fabric valance. It also has
set-in banding on both the curtain and the valance, and edge
banding on the tieback. The drape on the right has a bullion
fringed swag
valance. Its tieback is made with the same complementary
fabric as the swag and has a thick cord trimmed edge. In each case, a
white Sherwood style
finial is used with the drapery rod. |
|
|
These two designer drapes demonstrate fabric blocking
using a print and a solid fabric in each drape with a tassel fringe
trim added
where the two fabrics are attached. In the picture on the right, the
primary solid fabric is also used in the tieback. In the picture on
the left with the flowered print primary fabric, the complementary solid fabric is used in the tieback. |
|
|
These two designer drapes demonstrate
banding options. The one on the left has two-inch leading edge banding. The
drape on the right has set-in two-inch banding, allowing the
primary fabric to show on the edge The set-in banding can also
be mitered and continued above the hem and along the
bottom. |
|
Lined vs. Unlined Drape: The drape can
be either lined or unlined. A lined drape hangs and drapes
nicer and has a longer life than the unlined drape.
Drapery Prices: (For the
Sacramento area market.) Prices
are a combination of the fabric material cost and the construction cost
for the drape and each selected option.
